Target Audience

Our target audience for our artist, Eliza Mindel, is female teenagers stretching to young adults in there 20's. We have decided that this will be her target audience based on research and interviews, but mainly looking at other artists in the same genre, such as;

• Florence and the Machine
• Ellie Goulding
• Lana Del Ray

These female artists attract the same target auduience we are aiming for, the younger generation. Their music never portrays them in a negative light, or ever gives the assumption or the 'ideal' look their target audience should have, unlike other artists appealing to the same age group such as; Niki Minaj, Cher Lloyd, Rihanna, who are aiming to target a wider audience, including men- they achieve this by sexual references and obvious camera angles that percieve us to be voyeuristic. We are appealing to this target audience, and not the mass market as young females should be influenced by her music, as there is no harsh tone, and the video is soft- Eliza is an artist that we want to make 'all about the music', where females can simply enjoy, and be influenced by someone very natural.
