Feedback

We had 4 groups look at our rough cut video and we filmed their viewing experience to see any visceral reactions and to hear their comments whilst they were watching.
We got positive and constructive criticism from the groups which was very helpful and useful to us before our last week of editing before our deadline.
Our positive feedback was that the groups thought our idea was inventive and clever and that the stop motion was achieved well and looked effective within the video. People thought the idea was 'cute' and had a good narrative within. They said with more time and with the whole video finished, our video had the potential to look really good and memorable.
However we also had critisism which was that there were a few black screen moments where we hadnt got round to putting the footage in yet, I think this confused people as this was the part with the artist in therefore this made it unclear to see the star's persona and what our star is about. Also at this point there was nothing on our green screen and our audience wanted to know what would be on this.
Overall audience feedback is very useful to know whether you are following conventions of a music video and whether or not you need to change the video in order to do this. I think its very useful to get someone elses opinion to your own as not everyone agrees and sees things differently.
