Bad Day music video
I came across this video through cross media convergence on a tv music channel. Even though we came up with our initial idea before seeing this video there are many similarities throughout both sequences therefore we know we are along the right tracks to creating a professional and conventional music video. The opening shots are very similar to our own video. The idea of the male and female going about their daily routine within this split screen image. It may have been useful to have seen this video before filming our video to experiment with different camera angles like in this video, however we still wanted to create the abstract unrealistic approach with it all being filmed in a bed and this may not have given the image we were hoping if we had choosen different camera angles. I like the use of the drawings in this video as it fits with our idea of although the characters arent physically together at the time, they are together through these drawings in this video and are together through passing the objects through to each other in our video. This video also plays around with the editing of experimenting further with split screen being in four parts. This is something we could consider through our editing process to broaden the image and movement of our video.
